Lift opening dates and key events
There are different lift passes for Pedestrians and cyclists, along with differing prices for adults, youths, children and seniors and children under five usually go free, so make sure you give our concierge team a call to discuss which works best for you.

Given the areas world class status as a mountain biking destination, the activity is hugely popular in the Portes du Soleil and there are an abundance of downhill and enduro / cross country trails totalling a whopping 650km, including 35 dedicated e-bike trails with charging stations strategically positioned across the entire area.

Alongside an abundance of activities during the summer months, including some of our favourites such as hiking, road cycling and white water rafting, the Portes du Soleil also typically offers a jam packed events calendar, some of these have already been confirmed and some are tbc, we will update them as and when official dates are released.

| Ultra Trail Morzine-Avoriaz | 20th & 21st June | For those looking to kick off their summer with a challenge, Morzine and Avoriaz will host a 23k, 50k and 100k ultra alongside a vertical kilometer race. Hosted by RunThrough Trails you can see more details here |
| Pass Portes du Soleil | 26th to 28th June | This awesome event runs for three days until the 30th June and affords the opportunity to discover this exceptional area with a choice of day long tours on either Mountain bike, eBike or Gravel bike, or if you feel like a slightly more relaxed approach, the event is open to pedestrians as well. | Spartan Ultra World Championship | 3rd to 5th July | With a multitude of challenges to chose from including 5k, 10k , 21k and the Ultra 50k, tackle woodland trails, ascend into the mountains and embrace the challenges Morzine can throw at you, get your tickets here. |
| Harley Days | 11th to 14th July | Every other year, Morzine welcomes the world’s largest gathering of Harley Davidson enthusiasts and riders. The event has become something of a custom for riders all over Europe and is expected to attract over 10,000 motorcycles and 30,000 people for this years “pure rock” edition – expect all things rock! | Tour de France | 19th – 22nd July – Near | Morzine has played host to the Tour de France on multiple occasions previously, and although the tour is not coming directly through Morzine itself in 2026, there are multiple stages just a short distance from us over a 3 day period. Stages 15, 16 & 17 are worth taking a look at alongside the Haute Savoie rest day on 20th July, take a look here – Tour de France Official Site |
| Hauts Forts Trail | Typically early to mid August | “The Hauts-Forts trail links Morzine to Avoriaz at an altitude of 1800m and takes you through the most beautiful panoramas of the Portes du Soleil.” This is a staple event for Morzine-Avoriaz in the summer with dates to be confirmed soon for 2026 www.morzine-avoriaz.com |
| Mont Blanc Rallye | Typically early September | “The Mont-Blanc Morzine Rally is one of the mythical stages of the French Automobile Championship. Another staple of the summer events calander, we are awaiting confirmation on dates“ www.morzine-avoriaz.com |

| DH Kids Cup | TBC | “In the atmosphere of the big races, it’s your kids who are in the spotlight!
